Cllr Muriel Arden. Muriel came to live in Rampton in 1944, following a teaching career which included 10 years as head of a London School, Muriel returned to live in Rampton in 1979. Muriel became Clerk to Rampton Parish Council in 1985 a post she held until August 1998 when she decided to become a Parish Councillor. An active Councillor and resident of Rampton, Muriel has been an active member of the committees which ran the hall and created Pinder Park, which involved several successful grant applications. For many years she was nominated trustee from the Parish Council to The Diana Eyres' Educational Foundation. After a 5 year break from the Parish Council in 2007 when Muriel concentrated on the Village Hall, Muriel returned to the Parish Council in 2012 and has been Chairman since 2015, in 2019 Muriel moved to the Vice-Chair role to assist Sue in her 1st year as Chairman.
