Sir Stuart and Lady Goodwin Charity. Financial assistance is available for a specific need, e.g. disability/mobility aids household goods/furniture etc, to applicants aged 60 or over who live in the former Retford Rural District Area. Grants made to the applicants to the charity in recent years include the purchase of a mobility scooter and funding for the conversion of a bathroom into a wet-roomApplicants are required to complete an application form which will be issued on request from the Administrator. Supporting information will be required to show that the applicant meets the criteria along with three quotes showing cost(s) for the item(s) desired.Applications are presented to the Trustees for consideration and are dealt with in the strictest confidence. It is important to note that applications must wait for the decision of the Trustees before making a purchase as financial assistance cannot be retrospectively given.
